England... And Christmas Wish Project 2009

Hey there... It's been a long time. I've been in Nottingham, England since mid-september, and so far so good, even if at the beginning it was a bit, well.. I was home-sick, I missed Paris, my family, my friends and everuthing French in general. But now I'm quite happy! :aww:

Partly because it's soon Christmas (again - time flies)! Actually, I'm going back to France for the holidays in two weeks, and I can't wait for it!! So eager to finish terms, no more essays...

Related to Christmas, I read in a friends' journal (hers :iconelisabethhiljainen: ) that over DA this year there was a sorta project where you basically make wishes, and hope that maybe someone will hear you out. And if not, it's okay as well... Anyway, here are the 'rules':

STEP ONE

Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!

STEP TWO

Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important partIf you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

REMEMBER this is about ways you can help people through what you have. You do not need to blow all your savings on this , it is simply to get that good feeling when you help people out!

Since I love making lists anyway, here are my Christmas wishes...

Dear Santa Claus,
I wish for a White Christmas, and to spend some quality time with my family. I also wish I had a ferret (yeah, another pet) or another dog (a collie please). I would like a premium membership subscription on DeviantArt as well. I would like to know where I'm headed this year. And I want these Christmas holidays to last forever. I wish I could see old friends from high school, discuss the (good) old times. I'd also love some money to spend on DVDs and/or books and/or clothes. And finally, I wish for a .. oh yeah, a playstation3! :D

Nottingham, here I come!

Hey, hey,
I'm not dead! I'm still watching what you guys are doing, and I love it.

But I haven't time to take much pictures myself. Still working all the time. But I got a new camera on my birthday. Still nothing "professional", but a very nice little Sony Cybershot. Makes great pictures so far.
I went to Disney the other day, it was fantastic! Maybe some pictures of that, one day.
I'm also buying a new laptop this summer, hopefully. And i'm getting real holidays in August, so maybe holidays means some free time to post some old lame pictures? We'll see.

And... In mid-september I'm going to Nottingham, UK, for one whole year!! Isn't it great?
With the erasmus program I'll be taking classes at N'ham's uni. Will certainly be a great year...

I wish I had someone ...

Hello everybody (even if I doubt that somebody reads me at all), I haven't spent much time on Da these last months.
Mainly because my life has dramatically changed.

I now live on my own in the center of Paris and work in a restaurant. I no longer have a boyfriend (he turned out to be a manipulating bastard). But new friends.
I spend a lot of time with them and go out a lot.

I'm still at uni in parallel.
And well, I have no time to take pictures anymore. And my camera sucks anyway.
I'd love to take pictures tough.

I'm actually considering to take photography studies after my three-years diploma.
But I don't know. Maybe being a photographer isn't quite like I think it is.

Anyway. Maybe some pictures soon. Maybe not.
Stay tuned - I'm not dead yet!

It's been a long time uh?
So what's up?

# I turned 19, two weeks ago (on March the 13 precisely), so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to myself. Huh. I got beautiful gifts (DVDs, books, perfume) including a new boyfriend (sort of).

# ... I'm no longer single, and it's been almost two months now. But the two months (almost) include two different men .. Well, I met the first one on Valentine's day (TRUE!) and we lasted over a month. But he never called me, and .. Well, I met the second one. To be more precise, I learned that he wanted to go out with me for already some time. We came to know each other a bit better and well, it's almost been two weeks that we're together!

I split up with the first one, but we're still good friends.
(After all, we've had some great time together!)

Love is in the air! :heart:

# Paris is still a great city. And I'm still not taking as much pictures as I should ... I ADORE university because I meet so many different people. I love to go and drink a glass of wine with my friends after class. I love to run errands in the streets of Paris. It's just AMAZING that I realized my dream to live there. And as you can see it, I really enjoy it. :aww:

# I'm editing (AGAIN?? Yeah..) most of my pictures right now. And I'm planning to submit some new ones. I hope I'll find the time to do it, and not only to say it ...

A late Merry Christmas ...

... and an early Happy New Year !

I left Paris last friday, for the country, to my parents. Since then, its been very lazy days. I almost forgot that I have a lot of work for uni.

What did you get from Santa?

I got everything I asked for. A new camera. Heroes S1 on DVD. + I bought myself a new cellphone.

About that new camera. It's a little compact one. The new Fujifilm Finepix Z10fd. A gadget. Not something spectacular. I'm still not rich enough to buy a super 600€ (min) camera.

I'm still experiencing the different modes and everything of my new camera. I made pretty nice pictures. But I also made pretty much crappy pictures.
I'll keep trying.

Anyway, taking pictures is more like a hobby to me. Especially these days. I don't have much time for anything else than going to uni. (Okay, not true, but anyway ...)

So, my new camera is pretty good for me actually.

I have to go. Some new submissions soon. Maybe. Maybe not. (I still have to install photoshop on my laptop ...)
